![]() On my case, once the installation was finished I restarted the machine and noticed that my Wi-Fi adapter was not identified by the OS. Unless you are keen on potentially having go through a few grub settings whilst having issues starting up. I would recommend to go ahead and install the third party drivers at the end. Doing so may lead to a few other issues due to the NVidia graphics card. Go through the normal Installation and make sure you don’t pick the option “ Install third-party software for graphics and wifi hardware”. The process may change slightly if you are on Windows or Ubuntu. This should be pretty straight-forward, download the ISO direct from Ubuntu’s website and create a start-up disk. Quite a few permutations of this approach may lead you into a black screen and getting into grub recovery mode, hence this post. Only then install the third party GPU drivers. Install Ubuntu 21.04 and install the kernel version ( 5.12+ ) which contains the drivers for your Wi-Fi adapter. It ended up being a bit more eventful than I expected, so hopefully the steps below will make it easier for the next person trying this.
